JAKARTA – Press Conference Concrete Show South East Asia 2015 was successfully held on 7 October 2015 at Fairmont Hotel, Senayan, Jakarta. This press conference was attended by Director of Institutional and Resources Construction Services, Directorate General for Construction Development – Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Mr. Yaya Supriyatna, DR. Ir. Hari Nugraha Nurjaman, MT, General Secretary of Indonesian Association of Precast and Prestressed Engineers (IAPPI), Ir. Davy Sukamta, President of Indonesian Society of Civil and Engineers (HAKI), and Ir. Wilfred A Singkali, President of Indonesian Association of Precast and Prestressed Companies (AP3I)

Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Republic of Indonesia spoke about the contribution of concrete precast and prestressed industry to gain infrastructure development in Indonesia. Mr. Yaya Supriyatna also discusses about Concrete Show South East Asia this year will support the-One-Million Houses Program which is one of President Jokowi – Joko Widodo master plan. We have optimistic that precast and prestressed technology can be developed by the industry players.

Building House in a Day

“Concrete Show South East Asia provides you with the perfect platform to meet, network, and collaborate within the concrete and construction industry in Indonesia and South East Asia Region. And we also support government programs in addition to increase infrastructure development in Indonesia including the-one-million-houses program from President Joko Widodo”, says Christopher Eve, President Director PT. UBM Pameran Niaga Indonesia, organiser Concrete Show South East Asia 2015, Wednesday (7/10)

More than 200 companies will be participating in Concrete Show South East Asia this year including, Indonesia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Japan, Singapore, China, and many more.

“The most interesting in this event is we will build a house in just 8 hours. this is because of precast and prestressed technology”. Hari Nugraha, secretary general of IAPPI closed his statement. “Nowadays, concrete precast and prestreseed is the most valuable technology with the best quality, and the fast implementation time, and more efficient cost to fulfill the sustainable development concept. Though the production of precast and prestressed concrete just 17% from total national needed. But we will push for next year to reach 30%”, says Wilfred A Singkali, Chairman of AP3I. We hope with this event, we can boost infrastructure development in Indonesia.
